Ted DeZabala, PCC

Founder and Executive Coach
Lead To Change LLC

Before founding Lead To Change, Ted spent 35 years at Deloitte, where he held multiple executive leadership roles including Global Cyber Services Leader, Chief Strategy, Innovation & Technology Officer, and Financial Services Industry Leader. Across those years, he built businesses, led large global teams, and guided organizations through transformation and growth.

Those experiences taught him a truth that now defines his work: trust is the currency of leadership. It determines whether vision becomes action, whether teams align, and whether organizations thrive through change.

Ted founded Lead To Change to help leaders build that currency — not through charisma or control, but through clarity, judgment, and the capacity for adaptive learning. Drawing on both real-world executive experience and the science of human behavior, Ted helps leaders think more clearly, decide more wisely, and lead more humanly.

He has developed the emerging concept of Trust Intelligence™ — the capacity to understand, build, and sustain trust across people, teams, and systems — and integrates this thinking into his coaching and advisory work.

Ted partners with senior executives, founders, and leadership teams across industries to help them navigate complexity, cultivate trust, and lead change that endures. He holds a master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, an executive certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, and is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Ted lives in Mendham Township and Long Beach Island, New Jersey. He and his wife, Karen, have been together for 40 years and have four grown children and two grandchildren. Ted enjoys being on the water—fishing offshore, fly-fishing in mountain rivers, or boating with friends and family. He also likes playing golf, even though he is making very slow progress in improving his game.
